OpenDyslexic: A typeface for Dyslexia

I read a lot, mostly on my iPad mini using the Kindle, Kobo, or Omnivore apps. But as can be typical of people with ADHD and other forms of neurodiversity, I would often find myself going back to an earlier paragraph – or sometimes an entire page – simply because I just spaced out and lost track of the message. That usually happened when using traditional typefaces.

When I discovered the OpenDyslexic font in the Kindle app, everything changed. Now, I use it as often as I can when reading books or any other lengthy document. It’s made a huge difference in both my comprehension and the speed in which I’m able to read.

You can learn more about and download OpenDyslexic 3 from OpenDyslexic.org. If you’re able, drop a donation to make sure that Abbie Gonzalez can continue to develop it.
